Individual Sessions

This service is a favorite among many of my clients, as it is often one of the keys to a happier, healthier life. Our job is to give you the tools and techniques to achieve a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle. After several sessions, you will become well-versed at handling issues whenever and wherever they arise. Session can be done face-to-face, or virtually.

Walk N Talk Therapy?

Some clients may find it uncomfortable to sit eyeball-to-eyeball with a counsellor, Wisdom with Whiskers offer cleints a more relaxed in the less formal surroundings of the great outdoors. This enables them to open up more freely and to feel a greater connection to the therapy session.

Each session is tailored to the needs of the clients including the distance travelled and the pace of the walk. Like regular therapeutic sessions with a counsellor, the sessions are 50 minutes in duration. We ask clients to set the pace of the walk which enables clients to feel more in control of their sessions.

The Mens Group

Most men are the ultimate do-it-themselvers. Many men tend to believe they can fix their own emotional, behavioral and mental problems. With mental disorders like depression and anxiety, trying to fix them without professional assistance is like trying to heal a broken leg without a surgeon.

Keen DIY-er (and therapist) Conal Healy regular talks to men about their challenges, their hopes and dreams for the future. Like home decorating, sometimes you might need to sand away the old paint, prepare the surface before you start apply undercoats and top coats of paint. It’s all in the preparation, isn’t it?

Family Sessions

Constant tension and arguments in the home? The goal of therapy is to work with parents & children/young adults to reduce anxiety and symptoms of complicated dynamics, collaboratively identify negative patterns of behaviour and interventions. Therapist Conal Healy works with parents to identify their core values and how this can be translated into way you want to raise your family.

Couples Sessions

Share your words – and your thoughts – with our group where we believe writing has a therapeutic benefit for the reader and the listener.

Journal therapy, also referred to as journal writing therapy or simply writing therapy, involves the therapeutic use of journaling exercises and prompts to bring about awareness and improve mental health conditions as a result of inner and outer conflicts.

Discover the therapeutic effects of photography at the Wisdom with Whiskers Processing Work Photo Group. We want to see your photos, and what they mean to you.

PhotoTherapy  uses people’s personal snapshots, family albums, and pictures taken by others (and the feelings, thoughts, memories, and beliefs these photos evoke) as a way  to deepen insight and enhance communication during a counselling sessions, in ways not possible using words alone.
