AT Wisdom with Whiskers counselling, we believe the client is the expert about themselves. They know how to heal themselves. It is our role to help a person to help themselves.
If you broke an arm, would you go to a doctor? If you cut your leg, would you go to Accident and Emergency? Would a toothache drive you to a dentist?
Most people would probably answer Yes to those three questions. It’s a no-brainer: If you are sick, you get medical help.
Try these questions.
Do you worry about your mental health?
If you were sad for more than two weeks, would you tell your doctor?
If you felt empty after a relationship ended, would you tell a counsellor?
If you had panic attacks about going to a job interview, would you ring a helpline?
At Wisdom with Whiskers counselling, a person’s mental health is as important as physical health. Chest pain, a bleeding wound or a swelling on a leg are indicators of physical health.
Our mental health are indicators to our mental health, these symptoms need to be observed and acted on.
And just like people make appointments for their physical health ailments, regular check-ups for mental health ailments are important too.
At Wisdom with Whiskers counselling, we believe the client is the expert about themselves. They know how to heal themselves. It is our role to help a person to help themselves.
Are you okay?
